Novotel Wollongong Northbeach is laying the foundations for successful careers in the Hospitality and Tourism industry.  Alana Morris, a Novotel Wollongong Northbeach staff member, has been accepted into the prestigious Accor Graduate Management Traineeship Program. Congratulations Alana!

The program is designed for University Graduates to complement their qualifications with practical experience and elevate them to a Supervisor position after just 12 months.

Alana worked as a Food & Beverage Attendant at Novotel Wollongong Northbeach while completing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Hospitality Management at the University of Wollongong. After graduating in 2010, Alana was looking to put her degree to practical use and the Accor Graduate Management Program provided the perfect opportunity.

Out of the 110 applicants across the NSW/ACT region only 8 were successful in gaining a position in the program - a credit to Alana’s willingness and ability to work in a team environment, excellent communication skills and the ability to exceed customer service expectations. 

Alana has recently taken up her position at The Menzies Sydney where she will spend 12 months working in key hotel departments as well as undertaking a range of strategic projects.  From booking a room, running a banquet to recommending a bottle of wine, Alana will learn how the whole business works.

While Alana will be greatly missed by the team at Novotel Wollongong Northbeach, we are very proud of her achievements and wish her all the best for a successful career in the Tourism & Hospitality industry.
